What is SENDIASS

SENDIASS offers information, advice and support to children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and their parents & carers.

The Haringey Special Educational Needs Information Advice and Support Service is provided by an independent charity called Markfield, and is funded by Haringey Council.

SENDIASS is:

• Free– you do not need to pay for this service
• Confidential– we will not share what we talk about with others unless given permission
• Impartial – we do not take sides and we are independent from the Local Authority (please see our Impartiality Policy for more details)
• Statutory – every borough has to have a SENDIASS, and the service operates according to National Minimum Standard
