We are proud to announce that The Markfield Project was one of the winners of the 2023 Haringey Heroes Award, alongside 7 of our staff members: Lisa Martin, Silvia Hurtado, Sarah Miller, Riccarda Courtney, Rakhat Dzhumabekova, Katerina Allalou and Anna Frysztak.
Our caring and hard working colleagues, who always work tirelessly to help others, deserve to be recognised for their dedication. We would like to congratulate them!
The ceremony was hosted by, Deputy Mayor, Cllr Lester Buxton and Captain Peter Baker, Deputy Lieutenant of Haringey, on Sunday 5th March.
There were nearly 100 winners this year – people and organisations that have gone the extra mile to keep people in the community safe, fed and warm; make young people feel inspired to learn; and those who have been caring and compassionate to neighbours, family and friends.
Haringey Heroes runs every year and gives residents the opportunity to nominate people or organisations in the community for outstanding achievements.
