Transition to Adulthood programme
Markfield’s transition to adulthood programme provides bespoke support to help young people set their own goals, make informed decisions, and understand their rights as they move into adult life.
Our mentor scheme matches trained volunteer mentors with a young person in transition to adulthood, supporting with trips into the community to develop confidence and skills. The young people will also meet regularly for group sessions focusing on promoting independence and developing life skills.

For more information, or if you would like to get involved, please contact Riccarda Courtney on 07542590698 or email rcourtney@markfield.org.uk
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer mentor with our Transition to Adulthood scheme, we offer four days of free training. You will gain employment skills during your placement and volunteering with Young People and Adults in this way can be a pathway into youthwork and support work.
